Minutes of the Branch Meeting held at Stalybridge
on 28th April
2007
Vote of Thanks
The Chairman opened the meeting by thanking Stalybridge Holy Trinity for
provision of tea and coffee.
Branch Accounts
The Treasurer explained that by holding money in a separate account, the
ringers of St Paul’s,
Staley were encountering difficulty with the church (who preferred the money to
be combined with other church funds). To
enable easy access to their money and avoid causing conflict between the church
and themselves, the Treasurer suggested that the ringers of St Paul’s, Staley might hold their tower’s money
within the Branch account (and it obviously be set
aside for their use only). Clive Calton
also indicated that the same might be done for Stockport St Mary’s, whose money
he currently personally holds.
The action to hold individual towers’ funds within the Branch account
was proposed by Simeon Farrington and seconded by Andrew Mayes.
Membership
David Kelly, formerly
of Stockport St George’s, has been transferred to non-resident life membership.
